4 Halloween Costume Ideas from Rent the Runway

Halloween x Hollywood 4 Costume Ideas using Rent The Runway

Renting a Halloween costume from Rent the Runway is simple and fun! You can also use this for any upcoming holiday parties or costume balls you have coming up. Just visit their website or app and use the search bar to find what you need, like "Halloween.”

Look at the 4 dresses I rented to complete this Halloween look!

Once you find a costume you love, click on it to check details like size and rental prices. Make sure to review the size guide since fits can vary! Select your costume and rental period (you can rent for 4 days, 8 days, or use one of their subscription plans), and consider adding insurance for extra protection against damage. Then, head to checkout—create an account if needed, fill in your shipping info, and choose a payment method. Plus, shipping is free!

When your costume arrives, try it on right away to ensure it fits. After your event, follow the provided return instructions—usually, just pack it in the pre-paid return bag and drop it off at a shipping location by the return date. Here’s what I snagged from Rent the Runway:

Princess Leia x We Are Hah

We Are Hah is a bridal and lingerie-focused brand, so I thought this was perfect for the iconic Princess Leia dress. I got the Star Wars style going with some fake hair toppled into two space buns.

Marilyn Monroe x Jay Godfrey

I emulated Marilyn Monroe in Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend with this hot pink strapless gown by @jaygodfreynyc. I made some pin curls using a small barrel curling iron, slapped on some white satin gloves and a bevy of “diamonds” (rhinestone costume jewelry I thrifted for $1) and my Prada high heels.

Holly Golightly x Theia Couture

It’s not every day you get to wear a designer gown like Theia Couture. I matched the classic, black halter gown with tons and tons of pearls, black opera length gloves, a sensible updo and my Miu Miu sunnies.

Dorothy x Draper James

A lot of people don’t know that Draper James is Reese Witherspoon’s brand, but once you see the gingham, you know this was made by a Southern princess. The blue and white check print dress was absolutely perfect, so I just braided my hair and popped on some ruby red slippers (Louboutins I thrifted for $50!). Boom. The new Wicked movie has nothing on you.
